Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How long does dispatch take? All our models are 3d printed to order, we aim to dispatch within two weeks depending on how busy we are and size of order. When we are busy this estimate can slip.

  2. How do the models come? Small ships (1/6000 scale and destroyers for example) and merchant vessels are usually single piece models. Larger ships (1/1800 scale cruisers for example) usually come with the ship in one or two pieces (hull and bridge for example) with all the main turrets being on two or more sprues. Turret sprues will have turrets that have either horizontal barrels or elevated barrels so you can choose how you want your ship to look.

  3. How do I prepare my models? The models we dispatch have been fully cured, all you’ll need to do is sand down any support marks and remove any supports we may have missed. We always prime our models before painting with standard acrylic hobby paints.

  4. How are the models packaged? We bubble wrap all of our ships before dispatch, destroyers and small ships are sometimes bundled together but any larger ships are always individually wrapped with any applicable sprues and labelled.

  5. Do flying models come with bases? No we don’t provide bases for any flying models.

  6. Do we ship overseas? yes we do ship to some countries abroad including the USA and Australia. If in doubt please feel free to ask us

Current Dispatch Estimate: 3 weeks from order.

Base Types

I’m a big believer that this is your hobby so you should be free to pick bases that you want regardless of scale etc.

Along with no base we offer 3 standard base types (although one is subdivided)

  1. Plinth - This base adheres closest to the bases used in the game Victory at seas. It stands 5mm in height. It is rectangular with rounded edges

  2. Small Plinth - smaller and sleeker than the Plinth, the small Plinth stands 3mm in height and has circular ends.

  3. Tab

    1. Tab - Similar to the Small Plinth but the rear of the base has a tab for the ships name. stands at 3mm in height.

    2. Small Tab - originally designed for small scales (1/6000) this tab is 2mm in height and rectangular.

    3. Please note - If choosing tab bases then as standard ships at scales of 1/6000 and 1/4800 will come on the Small Tab whilst ships above this scale come on Tabs. However if you want your ships to be on the other Tab base just drop me an email when ordering and I’ll be happy to oblige.
